Become a part of a new R&D Center designing new product lines.
The hiring manager is interviewing candidates with the following skills:
3 to 10 years Experience Motorola Processor Design
FPGA Design experience Analog Design exposure
SONET familiarity
Candidates hired for these positions will function as a design team member designing and developing high sped modules in support of the product line.
You will become familiar with internal design process and must interface with other hardware engineers as well as support organizations as necessary.
Designs will encompass Microprocessors Digital traffic (up to OC3 rates)
Designs will encompass Diagnostic Engineers Designs will encompass These candidates will be responsible for the design and implementation of diagnostic software used for ASIC and broad level product verification.
You will work closely with ASIC and board hardware designers during all phases of product development.
To qualify for one of these positions you should: Posses a BSCS or equivalent. Have 3+ years experience in developing diagnostic software.
Have low-level assemble programming and C language expertise. Have RISC programming experience. Have Windows NT driver development experience.

Analog Hardware Design Engineers
Five years of Analog experience is needed for this position.
Digital Transmission over twisted pair drops (1-30MHZ) is also required.
In depth knowledge of analog and digital filtering techniques is needed as well. SPICE models & simulation and knowledge of ATM, SONET and Telephony standards will also be helpful.
Experience with Cadence Design Tools is a plus. Project Engineers Controls Design (3 positions) The persons to fill these positions will design PLC based control systems for the control of automated process equipment using AB or Omron controls. Control application might include stepper motor, conveyor, pick & place and robotics.
You will be responsible for writing the software and specifying the hardware for the control system. The hiring manager for these positions is prepared to conduct phone interviews.

Hardware Design Engineer

These candidates will design and develop controller hardware modules for next generation tape drives.
You will design 6 and 8 layer modules using microprocessors, SDRAMS, Ram, FLASH, EPROM, and ASIC's.
These positions require BSEE and 5 to 7 years experience in the design of controller modules for either Disk or Tape products.

Hardware Architect
(Tape Drive)
If you can qualify for one of these positions you will architect the hardware for next generation tape dives. You will be involved in the selection of the processor and integration of processors into an ASIC along with memory and control logic.
These positions require BS/MS in EE with 10 to 15 years experience in design of real-time systems including at least 5 years experience with either tape or disk controller architecture and ASIC design and a goo understanding of system requirements and host interfaces such as SCSI and Fiber Channels.

Principal ASIC Designers
As an ASIC Team Leader you will provide technical leadership at all phases of the design process from ASIC specification to final tape out. You'll interface with systems and board design engineers to specify and architect high speed CMOS standard cell ASIC's.
7+ years in ASIC design is needed for these positions. Knowledge of the COMPASS tool set and ATM or Telephony is a plus. Experience with a high level design language and ASIC verification are key elements to filling these openings.

As a Design Team Leader, you will help develop and provide technical leadership at all phases of the design process from functional specification to product.
You will interface with systems and board design engineers, software, manufacturing and others to develop Video and Telephony products. Analog Digital Design Engineers With 5 years experience and a BSEE degree, this could be the job you have been waiting for.
Responsibilities will include the development of high performance analog/digital HW designs for x-ray imaging systems, meeting quality, performance and product cost objectives. Incorporate sigma thinking and design for manufacturing and service. Make effective tradeoffs among available technologies, HW versus SW implementations with regards to in-house versus supplier capabilities. Design and execute complete sub- system validations. Hardware Engineers
Server Development Production background in the design of server based products as well as NT platforms experience essential. Design experience in high speed bus design, memory architectures, X86 or Power PC processors and add-in requested.

To fill these positions a candidate will have 5+ years of MCM or IC experience developing custom MCM (Multi Chip Modules) products. You will use CAE/CAD/EDA as the tools to create your designs. Test Engineers (several positions) In these positions, you will become part of an energetic and creative concurrent engineering team in the production of test strategy planning and system HW/SW test development. You will apply Design For Testability techniques and implement built-in diagnostics to continually improve the quality and reliability of our products.

Will assist less experienced engineers with design, design tradeoffs, and verification tasks. Must be willing to take ownership of Baseband networking hardware modules and carry out a full development cycle from high level design through initial deployment
Required Key Skills
Knowledge of communications theory and techniques (terrestrial and wireless/Satellite). Networking hardware development, including serial and LAN interfaces and protocols (TCP/IP, ATM, Frame Relay, Routing)
Knowledge/Experience Desired:

Principal Engineer
Specific Job Description:
Lead a team in the design and development of the Digital/Baseband Hardware for Broadband Satellite Terminals. Contributions at the architecture/high/detail level design and analysis will be required.
Must be able to work with other design teams (SW, modem design and ODU) to ensure the successful delivery of multiple Terminal models through initial deployment
Required Key Skills:
